As a brand new mother, Nicole was overjoyed, overwhelmed, and overtired. Her brain wasn't working quite as well as it had pre-baby, but she knew she wanted to do the best by her baby, her environment, and hey, even her pocketbook. Focusing on breastfeeding first (and believe you me, that required her full attention for some time), Nicole wasn't yet sure of how cloth diapering worked and didn't give it much thought. Oh, my goodness -- the choices. She drowned in choices. Prefolds? Covers? Fitteds? Pockets? AIOs? Once you get that down, which brands are good quality? Everybody has an opinion, as you know, and Nicole was getting a hundred contradictions in terms of quality and usefulness every which way she turned! She dropped the idea of cloth for another few months and gingerly approached the topic here and there as time went by. Finally, after much research and laying low in cloth diapering communities and just reading, Nicole made her choice. She went to a local cloth diapering guru and purchased her first cloth. They were fun, cute, easy (a must with Grandma babysitting), and CLOTH! Nicole was thrilled.
Thus began Nicole's desire to sell to people who, like herself, may not be sure of where to start. Also, with talented, quirky friends whose senses of style were begging to be on display, she wanted to create a haven. A saucy haven for sassy kids and their hip mamas. Thus was born: Saucy Tots dot Com.
After searching for months for the perfect cloth pad, Hope, the owner of Mimi's Dreams decided to make her own. Once the tweaking of the pattern was finished she decided to bring the concept of affordable cloth pads to other women as well and Mimi's Dreams was born January 2006. Currently she offers all in one cloth pads, reusable grocery totes, scented candles and wax tarts.
